We couldn’t do what we do without technology! At the core of our business is cloud-based software that gives us access to all financial data from anywhere, anytime. We provide web-portal access to both owners and tenants. Rent, maintenance, and common charges can be paid online via ACH, repair work orders can be entered, and owners and board members can see real time financial information.

Financial Management

We handle everything from collections to bill payments and all the resulting accounting. Comprehensive financial reports are provided each month, as granular as you might like, and we’ll coordinate extensively with your accountant for tax filing, audits, etc. We pay our vendors quickly and we constantly monitor arrears, lease expirations, and legal matters. Of course, we also handle all aspects of lease management, renewals, etc.

Maintenance

There’s no two ways around it. To have a great investment property, you have to maintain it. From preventative maintenance to major repair projects, H&M can manage all your needs. We encourage tenants to make use of our maintenance portal to report repair requests, giving direct visibility to our entire staff. We are laser focused on maintaining your property in the best of condition and are always auditing our stable of vendors in the various trades in order to find top service at a fair price.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

H&M property management was born around a dinner table over fifteen years ago. It was when our founder struggled to find a property manager that could offer both professional care and strong financial returns for a family vacation home in Whistler, BC. He knew there had to be a better way to provide owners with an exceptional concierge style of experience. So, he decided to give the property management industry a renovation and created his own company.

The property management market has been stagnant for years and was ready for a company with a forward-thinking approach—using technology and data to enable our team to care for homes and guests, while maximizing revenue for homeowners. H&M quickly grew from one house we managed to now servicing hundreds of homes in the San Diego Market.
